Thinking Activity onJohn Keats

◇ Thinking Activity on John Keats

Hello reader !

This  task given by  Dr. Heenaba Zala  madam. This blog  related to the John Keats's view on death. His   many work related  to the  death. John Keats  describes  his personal  life in work. I love death more.  Because more secrets are hidden in death.  Have we ever wondered what happens to us after death?  I  like  John Keats' s view.  Why always  to fear for death? Why people  not understand ? Death is truth. Losts of question  but sometime   we can not understand. John Keats   give  many example.

☆ About  my  opinion on  death:

Death and nature is same.  Becaus  when some issue  come in nature so some mystery  of  death and natural  elements.  We can see the  sentences  of old people.  Said    , " something  become wrong."   So  this mentality   not change.  If you like, you will have a chance to get one.   so we can  understand  why  death is different? And about  my opinion on  death so death is very important  in lofe. Death give the  many change . We can see the   some experience  of the death. Many type of death. But some reason  involved  inthis problem.  So death is imagination. Same like nature.  Because  we can see the  when you  come in nature. But  are see the nature? Are you  feel that nature?  So  death is same like nature.   Why death is only illusion.  About  my view  on death so  death  is dream.

Death  give  many  factors.  Like solutions  of many thing.  This  poem is very short but give the full  meaning.  Poet compaed with memory  and death.

Thinking Activity : know Author: Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Hello reader!

This task given by Dr. Dilip Barad sir.  This blog related to  well-known  Author  Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie  we can see these Dilip Barad  sir's blog Click here .

☆ Listen  talks by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie on:

《1》  The Danger of  single  story :

《2》 we shall  all be feminist :

《3》 Importance of  Truth in post- truth Era:

So  this  three video  is Good . Click here  . In first  video . Her  ideas about culture.  Culture  always  different.  Many problem  come in life and only reason  for culture.    Let's see the some questions.

◇ Question:1 whether  you  liked or disliked the view?

Answer: About  my opinion on  this  view .so first   I have think  about  this view  so something  is wrong  become in socity. No thus cultural is good.  We can see this video.  She said that one story .  This story  about  one boy . And she was described  boy's condition.  Click here.   No I am not like this . Because  I saw the many  many movies  and read the some books for example  myth of Mahabharata  and Ramayana .

◇ Question: 2  why you  liked or disliked?

 Answer:
About  my opinion on this  topic . So sometimes   I like this feminist,   truth in post- truth Era,  etc.  Feminist  is  important  because  some some problem sole in society.  We can see this video.  So feminist  is most important  in women's life. We can see the life of women.  Women  always  struggling in  life . For exam  Mahabharata ' character  like Droupadi.
She always  struggling in life. Five hasband but five hasbands not protected  her life. And another  example  like  Ramayana's character  like sita. So Rama is ideal person .but what sita's  life ?    And currently  event of priyanka Reddy' s  case and also before case like nirbhaya . So why always  women  struggling  in life we can see one image:

Another  example example  like  movie  like ,Article  15 's  Image :
we can see this image first two girl's rape in this movie  and than two girl's  death.  So we can understood  why feminist  is important  in society?

women's  dream always  different.  See this image:

So  dream   is dream  for women  because   not sports  to society.  So never get the  successful  in Women's  dream.    Question: 3 which  views  you  like disliked?
Answer: Both view   I have liked. Because  this both view  is very important.  Truth is important  in post- truth Era.  And also feminist  is  important  . See this one image:

Human beings not listening  to the  truth. So truth  same like this image. But truth is important.  Human beings  not like truth.

Question: 4  Has these views  helped  in better  understanding of  literature and  life.
Answer:   we can see this video.About  my opinion on this both topic.    So yes   truth  important  in post truth  era and this both view  is helping  in life and literature.  I have give one example  book like?  "The Bluest Eyes"   this book  written  by  Toni Morission . Toni Morrison  described  character  of picola.  She always  struggling  in life so picola is symbolic of  need for feminist. So I have understood  in literature  when I saw this video.  And than I  have give my opinion  on this book.  If  feminist  developed and many problem  solved in women's life.  And for me feminist  is important in life.  Truth   always  Good  but people  not like this. Only human beings  like goody goody  thinks.  For example  news news is fack  but people  like this. See this  video:

Thanking Activity : I . A .Richards : verbal analysis

Thinking  Activity: I.A. Richard's  : verbal  analysis

Hello reader!

This task given by Dr. Dilip Barad sir.  This blog  related to the I.A.Rechard's view use in poetry.  This  blog  related  to the  Thinking  activity. Do verbal analysis of the  poem/ song/ films  song/ lyrics/ hymns/ devotional  songs or any poetic expression in any language.

☆  Introduction:

I . A  Richard   was  critic  , poet   and  teacher   who  was   highly   influential  in  developing. A new  way  of reading   poetry.  "Principal  of  literary   criticism " ,and " practical  critics." We can see  this video. I.A  Richard  give  view of practical  criticism in this  video.

☆    one poem  in gujarati language:

I  have understood  this  poem.   About my   understanding on this poem.  So I give you  my ideas  on this poem. If you are related to an enjoyment that is related to your life. . There is also a related one to rejoice about the life that has been neglected, and that is the only way to get the most out of your life.
This stanza  suggests  like, As dreams come and the canals flow, even as the morning falls, they do not know what flows from their eyes in the morning.

            " માછલીએ  એકદા જળને  પૂછ્યું:તુ કોણ છે?
              એના ઉત્તર શોધવા જળ કયાં ગયુ કોને ખબર?"

This metaphor is so well consumed that man spends his entire life in search of a second life.

           " મે અરીસાને અમસ્તો ઉપલક જોવો 'રમેશ ',
              કોણ એમાંથી  મને જોતું  રહ્યું કોને ખબર?  "

In this stanza  is Good because  understand  of  human nature and other  ideas  like  relationship. This line wants to say that when we are in love with someone we look in the mirror too.  And we are immersed in it.  Many of metaphor use in this poetry.

☆  Anothe example  of poetry  : This poem in gujarati  language) see this poem.

                 કોઈની બુધ્ધિના  પાંજરામાં
              ટહુકીયા કરવાનું મને મંજૂર નથી;

                 કોઈ  પ્રેમને નામે ડંખયા કરે ,
             અને ઇચ્છા મુજબ મને ઝંખયા કરે;

     જે બોલે  તે બોલવાનું  ને નાગ જેમ  ડોલવાનું
                        મને  મંજૂર નથી
          પોતાની આખ  હોય  પોતાની પાંખ હોય,
                            પોતાનુ આભ હોય, પોતાનુ ગીત હોય,
              મનની  માલિક હું  મારે તે બીક શી?
                             હું  તો મૌલિક છું.

                              હા માં  હા કહીને  ઠીક ઠીક રહીને ,
                                  મને  ઠીક ઠીક રહેવાનું મંજૂર નથી

                             માપસર બોલવાનું માપસર ચાલવાનું ,
          માપસર પહેરવાનું  માપસર  પોઢવાનુ માપસર ઓઢવાનું
                  માપસર  હળવાનુ, માપસર  ઓગળવાનુ

                       મને આવુ પીગળવાનુ મંજુર નથી.

                       બુદ્ધિના  પાંજરામાં  લાગણીનું પંખી થઈ
                      ટહુકયા  કરવાનું મને મંજૂર નથી.

                                 -   કૄષણ  દવે

I have understood . The poem spoke of the killing of a bird and the murder of a bird.
There is nothing wrong with a bird or a dwarf man's life, but it is not a matter of respect for a man or a bird to respect it.  Human beings  same like bird's life. Because  human being always struggling  in the life. Many of metaphor  use in this poem .Life of people is like a bird.  Because people also follow a lot in compulsion What do you mean by doing what the people of the society say and do? So this poem suggests  idea. So  we can understand  of the criticism.  And  we can understand  of I.A.Rechards view  on  poetry.

 Thank you.......

Frankenstein

◇ Mary Shelley's Frankenstein v/s Kenneth Branagh's movie Frankenstein:

☆Pre-viewing tasks:

Question:1  what is  gothic  scientific fiction?
 Answer: 1
Gothic science fiction, also known as space goth, is a subgenre of science fiction that involves gothic conventions. By definition, the subgenre attempts to capture the dark atmosphere of gothic fiction while also incorporating elements of science fiction.Gothic novels focus on the mysterious and supernatural. InFrankenstein, Shelley uses rather mysterious circumstances to have VictorFrankenstein create the monster: the cloudy circumstances under which Victor gathers body parts for his experiments and the use of little known modern technologies for unnatural purposes.

Question:2 What is a frame narrative?
Answer:
Frame narratives, as exemplified by Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, were popularly used in nineteenth century English literature to introduce multiple characters and perspectives. This literary device was a layered narrative that featured a story within a story, at times within yet another story.

Question:3What is the point of view of the author?
Answer:
The novel begins with narration from Captain Walton, who is writing a series of letters to his sister Margaret. The point of view then switches to Victor Frankenstein, who tells Walton about his life and how he came to be wandering in the Arctic.

 Question:4
What are the viewpoints of different characters?
Answer:
Frankenstein is narrated in the first-person using language like “I”, “my”. and another  like character  give the different  points of view.  Monster etc.

Question:5
Do you have confusion about the title of the novel?
Answer: yes
Question:6
Who do you think is the real monster, the Creator or the Creature?
Answer:
The real monster in this novel is in fact Dr. Victor Frankenstein himself. Victor is a hostile and selfish being whose rejection of his creation led to his demise, and that of his family.

Question: 7
What is tabula rasa?

Answer:

Tabula Rasa Blank State is an empirical philosophical notion that John Locke used is a crucial factor in analyzing and understanding Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus. ... Infants must learn from an instructor who is mostly the parents of the infant so that he or she will fill that blank state with knowledge.

 Question:8
What is the significance of the subtitle "The Modern Prometheus"?
Answer:
The  myth of Prometheus as it relates to Mary Shelley's 1818 masterpiece, ''Frankenstein.'' Still, the question remains: who in ''Frankenstein'' is the 'modern Prometheus?'

●Who Is Prometheus?

Mary Shelley's 1818 masterpiece Frankenstein is famously subtitled The Modern Prometheus, after the Greek myth of the god Prometheus. This Greek god steals the sacred fire of Mount Olympus and gifts it to humanity.
The supreme god Zeus condemns Prometheus to eternal punishment for his treachery against the gods. Chained to a rock, Prometheus' liver is eaten by an eagle. Because he's immortal, he heals by night, only to endure the same torture the next day and every day throughout all eternity.
So why would Shelley use this subtitle for her famous novel? Who exactly is the modern Prometheus in Frankenstein? Is it Victor Frankenstein - or his monster?

●Victor Frankenstein

Victor Frankenstein certainly seems like a modern Prometheus. Prometheus dares to give to humans what had before belonged only to the gods: the sacred fire. In this, he was also giving technology to mankind. The sacred fire provides warmth and sustenance, but it also allows mankind to forge tools and weapons. It frees us from our dependence on the good pleasure of the gods for our survival.
Additionally, Victor dares to give to humans what had belonged only to God: immortality. No longer are life and death a matter of God's will: they are the byproduct of human learning and the outcome of human endeavor and intention.

 ●Victor's Era & His Eagle

Prometheus' name means 'forethought,' but his successor, Victor, is also able to think ahead, planning and carrying out what once only the gods had been able to do. The rapid advance of scientific knowledge characterizes the late 18th century, known as the Age of Enlightenment. It was believed that there was nothing science couldn't do, nothing man couldn't achieve.

 Question:9
Do you think Mary Shelley's Frankenstein stands on the brick of revolutionary changes?
 Answer: yes
 ☆ While viewing the movie:

Question:1

Matthew Arnold: characteristics of good poetry and criticism

☆  Matthew Arnold  :Characteristics of Good poetry And criticism
Hello  reader,
We Are know   of poetry, but what is  good poetry?  Why poetry  form is different? So late see the details  of  what is Good poetry ?and   what is characteristics of Good poetry? This task given by  Dr. Dilip sir.

● What is  Good  poetry?

Poetry is  " The  best words  in their best order..The underlying thought of the poem is also Important. "

=  "  poetry is the art of using words  in a way that will make a  image come alive . It  expresses  feelings, both Good and bad.A great  poem can make you see, hear, smell, taste, and though the things the poet is writing about."

A good poem take you  to the city,to the sea ,to the heart of and and all matters, you seeit, taste it ,belong to it. A Good  poem is  a menagerie of  craft ;  a spinning  of sound ,word choice, alliteration, rhythm and  often  rhyme. A Good  poem is a symptom  of the author's  effort to make sense of the world . And often,  ideas  that  can't  be expressed  in  prose  can sometimes be expressed  through strong  images. A Good poem often uses clear, memorable, concrete  images to make a  point.

● About  Matthew Arnold's  view on Good poetry:

According to Matthew Arnold,  he is an intellectual  giant of the  Victorian period. His  view about  poetry  are elaborately  stated in his  " The study of  poetry."  He has a high conception of  poetry. He points  out  the characteristics of best poetry  where man will stay in future. Ge is confident that  poetry  has immense future. He expresses his  views on the nature, function and character of  poetry  to a great  extent. He gives to   poetry  a very high position. Arnold sets high standards for  poetry. According  to him, it attains the place of  religion.  It is an application of  ideas  to life. The best kind of poetry  is a criticism of life.

"  In poetry  as a criticism of life under the conditions
fixed  for such a criticism by the laws of  poetic truth
                                               And poetic beauty "

Arnold  realizes that poetry  has a great  future. Poetry  is worthy of  it's high destinies.  Human will find spiritual  power and  satisfaction in  poetry. People  will  depend on it.  Every  field of human  thought  and action  has been influenced by it . This is clear by the phrase. " worthy of it's high destinies." In Good poetry  human  beings would be able to  find a sure resting place  for their spirit.in the realm of poetry. Most of the changes were taking place.  Poetry  will also take the place of religious  doctrines and creeds  it is based on ideas  which are fundamental to  humanity. It considers the world outside  imagination  a world of illusion for  poetry te idea is everything .poetry  is not only  the idea or the fact but also  both.for this reason. Poetry  has a great  future. Its destiny  is high poetry  is an interpretation of  life. It is criticism  of life. It has the power to console, sustain  and form us. At the same time ,it delights  us too. Poetry  plays  an eminent  role in  life. It is more important  than religion.

 ● Characteristics  of Good poetry:

  《1》 Figure of  speech:

Figure of speech or figurative language,  are ways of describing  or explaining things in  a non- literal  non- traditional  way.....

Thinking activity: Duality of nature

Thinking Activity: Duallity of Nature

 Hello reader,
This task given by   Vaidehi  madam.  This  blog  related  to the  'Daulity  of Nature.'  About  my  opinion  on this    topic.  Narlture  is  all time  different. Nature  is  not particular form.   We  can see  the   nature's side is two side.   One Good or second  bad.

◇ What is meaning  of duality of   nature?

The dual nature of light Means  that  , in some  experiments, light behaves as a  wave. In other experiments,  light behaves  as a particle.

In  physics  and chemistry, wave  particle duality holds that light   and matter exhibit properties of  both  waves and of particles. The idea of duality is rooted in a debate over the nature of light and matter dating back to the  1600s, when competing theories of light were proposed by Christian Huygens and  Isaac Newton.

    ☆About my  experience  with  nature:
I feel  better in nature. About my  opinion on  nature so nature always  give  freshness.  When  I  am  going  to   nature  so I feel   free. Means full enjoy in nature. Nature give  idea. Some  my photo in nature.

Another  example of  duality of human nature  .Human nature always  different. Means when you  feel love  feeling  but another  side  is  hate so   we can see the   side of human nature.  Best example  of  book of Dr. Jekyll  and mr. Hyde .

Thank  you....
